The Beginning Reader’s Bible Published by Thomas Nelson

With all of the cold weather lately I have not been on my computer so much as I have been snuggling with my children!  One of the books that we have thoroughly enjoyed is the Beginning Reader’s Bible.  Unlike other children’s bibles, this Bible is truly a bible.  Stories are taken directly from the bible verse by verse with number reference rather than paraphrased.  The illustrations are wonderful and help bring such “grown up” reading to a level of understanding for children.  My five-year-old has laid claim to this bible and sits and “reads” it constantly.

I love the set up with actual scripture and then a box with maybe a bible verse to memorize, or a prayer from scripture.  It also gives ideas of things you and your children can do to live out God’s word.  This is by and far the best children’s bible I have ever seen ~ and with six children aged twenty-two to five, I have seen many children’s bibles!
